Admissions Most of the courses offered by Université Bretagne Sud are open to international students provided they have a good academic record and a sufficient level of French.

Entrance examinations

There are NO entrance examinations for university Bachelors (Licence Degree), Masters, and Doctorates. Admission is based on your academic records and appraisal of all your application documents, but there is an entrance exam to enter the ENSIBS engineers school (refer to ENSIBS website for details).

Required language level

Level C1 is required for courses taught in literature, languages, the humanities and social sciences and law, economics & management. B2 is sufficient for other courses.

Refer to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

 

International students who do not meet the above requirements can follow intensive preparatory language courses at UBS if needed.

Individual students: application process

Individual students are personally responsible for their entire application process and strict respect of procedures and deadlines.

 

Procedures differ depending on where applicants reside, their citizenship and their required entry level.

 

If you reside abroad (and are not a EU Candidate) and wish to apply for first year of a Bachelor (Licence 1 entry level)

Application process for year 1 of a Bachelor (L1)

You must use the “Studying in France” (In French “Etudes en France") digital platform to proceed for your enrolment in a French Institute of Higher education:

EU student candidates follow the same processes as French students to register in a French Higher Education Institution (HEI).

 European Union Candidates Application Process

The Parcoursup application process is mandatory to apply to most of the trainings offered by French Higher Education Institutions (HEI).

You wish to apply for admission in 2nd year of a Bachelor to 2nd year of a Master and ENSIBS (L2 to M2)

Exchange students: Application process

You can participate in an exchange program and study at UBS either within the Erasmus+ mobility scheme or within a bilateral agreement between your university and UBS.

If you are applying within the Erasmus+ mobility scheme 

You must first contact the International Affairs Office of your University to obtain a mobility agreement.
Once you are nominated by your home University you must send your application to the UBS International office
by following this 2-step process
1. First download and fill the Erasmus+ Application form

2. Then download and fill in in Erasmus+ Learning Agreement

If you are applying as part of a Bilateral Agreement between your University and UBS

You must first contact the International Affairs Office of your University to obtain a mobility agreement.
Once you are nominated by your home University you must send your application to the UBS International office
by following this 2-step process
1. First download and fill out the non-Erasmus+ Student file Exchange Agreement

2. Then download and fill out the following Learning Agreement
