Why choose to study within the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at UBS?

The small cohort sizes allow for individual support for personalised learning and development, from the outset of year 1. This is supplemented by strong student-staff relationships and the supportive atmosphere within the University itself.

Our Faculty has very strong links with local, regional, national and international companies and public institutions, with student employment at an all-time high on graduation, placing UBS in the top 10 list of French universities for graduate outcomes (Source: French Ministry for Higher Education).

Modes of training across programmes include the traditional full-time learning, but provision is also made for part-time study, or through Vocational Education and Training (VET) in some cases, for those who wish to undertake apprenticeships or study en alternance (one month at work and one month at university).
Lifelong Learning: The University also caters for mature students who wish to upskill or retrain. The Faculty acknowledges RPL - Recognition of Prior Learning and Experience (in French “Valorisation des Acquis de l’Experience” (VAE).

Welcome to our Faculty! We do hope that in addition to the knowledge and skills that you will acquire throughout your studies, you will also find self-fulfilment and thrive at UBS, and open yourself even more to the world around us.
